La photographie est pour moi une affaire récente : j'ai débuté en 2006 et peu après j'ai été publié direct dans le… célèbre magazine National Geographic pour une photo prise au Japon, avec exposition à la clé chez Air France Roissy ! Avant, je parcourais le monde pour une multinationale sans avoir le temps ou l'envie de photographier, car business et art ne font pas toujours bon ménage. Dans ma trentaine j'avais fait des films amateurs ("Super 8") avec montage et sonorisation. Je faisais très peu de photos car l’argentique n’était pas mon truc n’étant pas «chimiste». L’avènement du numérique a été une chance pour moi. J’ai même gagné une médaille d’argent à la Coupe de France il y a quelques années. Quant aux sujets de mes œuvres, curieux de nature, je n'exclue rien. Évidemment, j'ai une prédilection pour tout ce qui touche au Japon comme on le verra ici. C’est une longue histoire et la liste des échanges photos avec mes amis japonais est longue tant en France qu’au Japon où j’ai séjourné presque chaque année depuis 40 ans.

In my thirties I made amateur movies ("Super 8") with editing and sound. I did very few photos because argentic is not for me not being "chemist". The advent of digital has been a chance for me. I even won a silver medal at the Coupe de France a few years ago. As for the subjects of my works, curious man, I exclude nothing. Obviously, I have a predilection for everything related to Japan as we will see here. It's a long story and the list of photo exchanges with my Japanese friends is long in France and Japan where I have stayed almost every year for 40 years.
